Synopsis:
Astronema, the Queen of Evil, transports to the Earth and orders humans to bring her the Power Rangers or everyone will be destroyed. The civilians debate about it, but in the end, they do not give they're heroes in. Meanwhile, the Rangers plan their next move. Andros decides to go to the Dark Fortress to try and talk his sister out of conquering the universe. While the Rangers reveal themselves and battle Quantrons and Pirhanatron on Earth, Andros faces a battle between him and his own sister. As Astronema deals a deadly blow, Andros brings his spiral sabre up and deflects it back at the evil queen. Astronema falls to the ground unconscious, and appears dead. Ecliptor comes in to see his queen lying on the floor and begins to attack the Red Ranger. Completing Zordon's request, Andros shatters his energy tube, spreading good throughout the galaxy and turning all evil creatures into dust. Karone is later revived by Andros' tears and they return to their home, KO-35, with the rest of their people. As the other Rangers prepare to leave for Earth, Andros returns to the ship along with Zhane and Karone, and the group travels happily back to Earth. And thus ends the Power Rangers in Space saga.

Bloopers:

As Andros morphs into the Battleized Red Ranger, his clothing changes completely back to that of the original footage from the Secret City episode. (Cloudkicker)

Andros went to the Dark Fortress at night and yet he didn't do anything until the morning came (rumor has it that Countdown was actually a 3-parter and footage was cut to make it finish in 2 episodes; perhaps some of the cut scenes would have explained this delay).

Astronema moved a little even though she was "dead".

Andros went to the Dark Fortress in T-shirt and jeans, yet he comes out of it wearing his space uniform.

When Zhane and Karone show up on the bridge of the Megaship after Andros returns, Zhane says "The Megazord's in the shop; how about a ride to Earth", but the Megaship is the Megazord.
