Synopsis:
The Rangers find one of Astronema's monsters infiltrating a secret lab on Earth and try to stop it. During the battle, the monster switches places with Cassie, leading Carlos to injuring her instead of his intended target. Aboard the Megaship, Carlos cannot get over the fact that he injured his friend, despite Cassie's words. He goes to Earth, where he runs into trouble with the monster again. Adam comes to his rescue and helps fight off the monster. The former black/green ranger tries to help Carlos get over his mistake but is unsuccessful and Carlos quits. Astronema takes advantage of Carlos' weaknesses and sends the monster back down to Earth to finish him off. During the battle, Adam uses the black power coin to morph despite warnings from Alpha and from Carlos. The power is stable for a while but soon begins to fade. Carlos, setting his problems aside returns to help his friend. The other Rangers arrive and Carlos is given his morpher back. Together, the two Black Rangers take out the monster, which grows and is destroyed by the Rangers.
